Wire: Wire is put into brackets. They apply some force to move teeth.Brackets: These are small metal, ceramic or plastic attachments fixed on teeth. These have a slot to receive a wire.
Ligatures: These hold wire into brackets in conventional braces. They can be of elastic or metal. Ligatures are not needed in self-ligating brackets.
Molar tubes: These are usually broader than brackets and placed on molar teeth.
